Active accounts can use the transfer function <img src="/files/uUEPx2roEYt1T6ZNPNPT" alt="" data-size="line"> to transfer their active holdings to a different account.

Steps:

1. Select one or more SAFc to transfer
2. Select an account to receive the transfer

{% hint style="info" %}
There is no limit to how many times a unit can be transferred
{% endhint %}

3. Select the amount of SAFc to transfer, based on metric tonnes of SAF or CO2e abated (in either case, the amount of SAFc is calculated and the transfer is denominated in tonnes of SAF). Note: this is not an option for [usability tier 3](/user-guide/vi.-saf-certificates/unit-type-code.md#usability-tier) SAFcA, since they cannot be split into smaller amounts.
